With more than 10 years of experience in the public and private sectors, Nathan is intimately familiar with all facets of the Delaware court system. He has a proven track record of success in a broad range of business disputes and complex civil and commercial litigation.

Most recently, Nathan was a senior litigation associate in the Wilmington office of another Am Law 100 firm, where he represented clients in corporate disputes, including summary proceedings under the Delaware General Corporation Law (DGCL), as well as complex civil and commercial litigation matters before the Delaware Court of Chancery and the Superior Court Complex Commercial Litigation Division (CCLD). Earlier in his career in private practice, he gained experience defending property owners, general contractors, and insureds in multi-party suits brought across Texas in high-volume complex construction design and defect litigation, personal injury, and trucking cases. In his first associate position at a national litigation firm, he concentrated on complex commercial litigation across all Delaware courts.

As a deputy attorney general in Delaware, Nathan prosecuted criminal charges in Delaware state courts regarding a variety of felonies, including sexual offenses, organized retail theft, and drug trafficking. In this role, he conducted and supervised extensive, multi-unit investigations, negotiated complex plea deals on behalf of the state of Delaware, and tried over 20 cases. During his time in the AG’s office, Nathan served in the Misdemeanor Trial Unit, Domestic Violence Unit, Felony Trial Unit, Violent Criminal Enterprises Unit, and Special Victims Unit.

Nathan earned his B.A. in international relations and history from the University of Delaware's Honors Program, during which time he had the opportunity to intern with the office of then-Senator Joseph R. Biden. He earned his J.D. from the Villanova University School of Law, was on the Villanova Law National Trial Team, and was a certified legal intern with the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office in the pre-trial division. During law school, Nathan earned his LL.M. in European and international business law from Leiden University in the Netherlands, where he wrote his thesis on the Delaware Court of Chancery's arbitration procedures. Immediately following law school, Nathan served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Jan Jurden of the Superior Court of Delaware, where he researched issues of state law and drafted legal memoranda, opinions, and orders for agency appeals.
