Jermaine is a seasoned litigator with broad experience handling business and tort claims in federal and state trial courts, appellate courts, and in arbitration proceedings in personal injury and wrongful death litigation, products liability, aviation, and premises liability matters. He also has experience representing clients in complex commercial disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes, construction defect litigation, commercial landlord/tenant disputes, intellectual property disputes, professional malpractice litigation, insurance disputes, including disputes relating to the financing of insurance policies, and consumer protection litigation.
Before returning to Cozen O’Connor, Jermaine practiced at other full-service national law firms, representing clients in various business and tort matters. His clients have included a well-known professional basketball athlete in a trial involving partnership agreements and the use of the athlete’s name, image, and likeness with damages exceeding $100 million, the President of an African country in a dispute involving the use and damages to a Presidential aircraft, and a power company in a trial involving polluted land and damages over $90 million.
Jermaine earned his B.S. and M.S. in Taxation from Florida International University. He practiced as a Certified Public Accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers before attending law school, earning his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami Law School. During law school, Jermaine served on the Inter-American Law Review and interned for the Honorable Peggy Quince of the Florida Supreme Court.
