Allyson concentrates her practice on commercial and residential real estate disputes, representing cooperatives, condominiums, developers, shareholders, unit owners, lenders, and borrowers. She represents cooperative and condominium boards in litigations against sponsors/developers for failure to construct buildings in accordance with offering plans, and in disputes against tenants for noncompliance with governing documents. Allyson also provides general counseling to boards of managers of condominiums and boards of directors of cooperatives. Her commercial litigation practice focuses on the defense of actions brought against directors and officers of cooperative and condominium boards.
Before joining Cozen O'Connor, Allyson was an associate with an Am Law 200 firm in New York City, where she concentrated on representing cooperatives and condominiums in dispute resolution and litigation. Before that, she was an associate with other top firms in New York, including a full-service Am Law 100 firm, representing directors and officers of condominium and cooperative buildings in real estate disputes, focusing on construction defects and tenant disputes. She also defended developers and subcontractors in matters involving property damages, water intrusion, explosions, and public utility litigation.
Allyson earned her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.
